Calico Fields Environmental Education Welcome to Calico Fields Environmental Education Welcome to Calico Fields Environmental Education About Us Our history We started Calico Fields as a lavender farm in 2008. We quickly realized that the lavender attracted all kinds of pollinators. It was fascinating to see all of the native bees honeybees wasps bumblebees butterflies ladybugs and preying mantis enjoying the blooms. As people visited the farm they were also interested in seeing and learning more about the pollinators.
