Build Futures
Build Futures moves homeless youth 18 - 24 off the streets to employment and self sufficiency by providing stable housing first, resources and mentoring. Build Futures provides housing for homeless youth, ages 18-24 years old. We take these homeless youth off the streets and provide them with safe housing and the services and support needed to obtain and maintain employment, self-sufficiency and long-term independence. When youth remain homeless, they are more at risk for physical abuse, sexual exploitation, substance abuse and involvement in the justice system. We protect them from violence, crime, drugs, human trafficking and the psychological and physical horrors of surviving on the streets. Evidence based studies show that prompt placement in stable housing is the key to overcoming the barriers that perpetuate homelessness. [1] Report by Urban Institute June 2015
