Shanti Childrens Foundation You can send a child to school The Beginning Shanti was founded by artist and traveler Pam Whitworth in 1997 when she traveled to Nepal and agreed to sponsor one small boys education. That was the start of a relationship with little Punya with a school in Kathmandu and the realization that poor children need help to be able to go to school. From that small beginning Shanti Childrens Foundation grew until today as a notforprofit 501c3 charity Shanti sends one hundred disadvantaged kids to school in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. Our children Most of our children come from remote areas where there is either no school or one of extremely poor quality and unreliable stability.
