The site was originally developed as a hotel and later converted into a garage first as Cherryfield Motors and then as Blueberry Ford. Reactivating this site as a Community and Visitor Center with a wild blueberry focused theme creates a welcoming community space that celebrates the heritage of Cherryfield revitalizes the center of our historic district and helps boost the economy of the surrounding Downeast region. Cherryfield Town Square will include history and heritage exhibits an art gallery visitor information a retail shop and indoor and outdoor space for events farm markets classes and other activities.
