CFCN was founded in 1994, and achieved IRS 501(c)(3) status in 1996. The specific mission purposes: maintain a comprehensive service network of professional providers of psychological, counseling, social work, and mental health services; assist in bringing mental health services into the underserved communities; sponsor special events for charitable purposes for the psychological and mental health care of the family, including parents, children, and seniors ;promote and provide education pertaining to psychological and mental health; and conduct research regarding psychological and mental health care of the family, including, but not limited to, parenting, developmental stages, and aging issues.
