As advocates of design in the fields of architecture, interior design, and construction, Designing Women of Acadiana's mission is to expand horizons for the power of design and its impact on social and economic issues. Our initial step has been to expose and educate women in Acadiana on several different aspects of design through our monthly meetings and quarterly panel discussions. Our cross-discipline approach to design, research and education makes this group truly unique and powerful. The members of DWA come from a range of backgrounds including; architects, intern architects, project managers, builders, designers, interior designers, graphic designers, landscape architects, and women interested in design. We are a dynamic organization which encourages and supports women in Acadiana.
