A kitten named Freckles, who was diagnosed with FIP, and a desire to help more at-risk cats and dogs find furever homes, were the motivation that started Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue. Freckles Foundation is a foster-based rescue with a volunteer network spanning the DC-Metro area. They are committed to creating awareness within the communities they serve, working towards the best interest of the animals in their care, and, whenever possible, championing the “underdog”.
