A registered 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue with a volunteer network spanning across MD, DC, and VA. At Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue, “rescue” is not a verb, it is a promise. A kitten named Freckles, who was diagnosed with FIP, and a desire to help more at-risk cats and dogs find furever homes, were the motivation that started Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue. Freckles Foundation is a foster-based rescue with a volunteer network spanning the DC-Metro area. They are committed to creating awareness within the communities they serve, working towards the best interest of the animals in their care, and, whenever possible, championing the “underdog”. It is not just about finding homes for pets in need but finding a home that is right for them.
