The Benny Fund – The Benny Fund About the Benny Fund In 2013 a Cincinnati area rescue group pulled a dog Benny from the Brown County Animal Shelter in Georgetown Ohio. Little over one year old at the time the dog was sweet and shy and so very full of energy. Unfortunately he tested positive for heartworms which required treatment and approximately four months of care. During the lengthy treatment cycle he remained in the rescue shelter and required crate rest.
