SEASON WRAPPED ✨ // From the shimmering seas of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the high-stakes heat of Carmen, the 2024/25 season swept us away. We laughed, we leapt, we held our breath—and every unforgettable moment was possible because of you. Whether you joined us once or danced through the entire season, thank you for being part of the magic. In the theater, something extraordinary happens: strangers become a community. Applause becomes connection. Movement becomes memory. Some of our favorite fun facts this season: We shared 4,589 minutes of ballet onstage. We had 1,500 hours of rehearsal. We used 2,400 pairs of pointe shoes. We had 61,000 audience members Here’s to the standing ovations, the backstage magic, and all the moments that made this year shine! This season reminded us just how powerful ballet can be—and how much more beautiful it is when we experience it together. (fb)

FAREWELL MATILDA SOLIS // Our beloved dancer @matildavsolis will be retiring from MCB this season. Solis is from San Francisco and began dancing at age 10 at Ballet Austin. She was offered an apprenticeship at age seventeen with Carolina Ballet where she trained with Debra Austin prior to joining MCB in 2022. Some of her favorite ballets to dance include Diversion of Angels, Square Dance, and Serenade. “Don’t waste your time and energy comparing yourself to those around you. It’s somewhat cliché but true that the only person you should be comparing yourself to, is yourself. Every dancer brings their own unique expression, energy and personality to their dancing and if you learn to acknowledge and embrace the unique artistry that you have to offer, it will not only help you grow as a dancer but as a human being.” We wish you all the best Matilda! Thank you for your time here as a part of our MCB family. Please join us in wishing Matilda well and congratulating her on a wonderful career! 👏🏻 (fb)
