The Schooner Pursuit Historical Society
The mission of the SPHS is to research and educate on the Privateers of the American War of Independence. Our goal is to build a more permanent fixture of a museum for this task. Currently we have a mobile living history museum we take and set up at various events and historic sites. Our staff of volunteers number around 13. We dress in period clothing (1776-1783) and "edutain" (educate through entertainment) the life and times of the Colonial "Patriot" and "Torie" Privateers.
