#NSBEHP works to serve the community and develop the next generation of Black Engineers and STEM Professionals. NSBE Houston Professionals Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers Located in Houston, TX The National Society of Black Engineers' mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.As a great outlet for community involvement, we provide our members with an avenue to directly impact their surrounding community. Within the last year, our members have had the chance to contribute over 1000 volunteer hours directly impacting the local Houston community. We are also proud that our impact to our community and our professional members has been recognized nationally by NSBE. Our chapter was awarded the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Region V Chapter of the Year, along with being awarded the 2014 and 2016 Pre Collegiate Initiative Chapter of the Year. We work hard to ensure that we meet our NSBE mission statement, by helping minorities in STEM fields, excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
