Winchester Canyon Gun Club

The Winchester Canyon Gun Club is a non-profit 501(c)4 organization located near Santa Barbara, California. Winchester Canyon Gun Club was established in 1955 and moved to its current location in 1962. The club operates at an elevation of approximately 3000 feet above sea level, experiencing extreme weather conditions that necessitate ongoing maintenance and capital improvements to its facilities.

Activities and Events

The club hosts a range of activities, including Safety Days, Medical Training, Food Drives, Competitions, and Shooting Matches. It offers both indoor and outdoor shooting ranges with specific facilities for rifle and pistol shooting. Notable events include the 3-Gun Practice Match, which involves the use of modern sporting rifles, pistols, and shotguns, and Muzzle Loading Black Powder Rifle and Pistol Matches.

Membership and Access

Membership is open to legal residents of the United States who are qualified to own firearms in California. Members have access to the club's facilities seven days a week, from sunrise to sunset, except for certain cultural holidays. Non-members can use the facilities on Saturdays and Sundays during specified hours.

Environmental Responsibility and Safety

Winchester Canyon Gun Club is committed to environmental responsibility and follows strict safety protocols. It adheres to regulations set by the Los Padres National Forest, ensuring that firearms are discharged only in designated target ranges.
