Peppermint Ridge
Peppermint Ridge provides loving homes and empowering support to adults with disabilities. In 1949, Mary and Robert Jeffery, were blessed with a son whose name is Roger. Roger was not like other little boys his age. He was special because his body and mind did not develop as quickly as other children. Realizing his need for special care, his parents decided to make the best of the situation. They wanted to provide Roger with an education and training at a level which he could understand in order to better function in society, and they did want to place Roger in a state hospital, the only alternative available at that time.Peppermint Ridge is a living, loving, laughing, learning community, which nurtures every member and encourages each one to become more self-sufficient and responsible.
