RESCUE RESIDENCE
Our mission is to restore dignity to homeless veterans by providing a physical address while we build a home with mobility together using a retired ambulance. A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness through a holistic 3-phase program covering personal stabilization, job skills training, and finally the conversion of a retired ambulance into a custom home. We identify eligible veterans experiencing homelessness and provide them with solutions to two of the most significant barriers to successfully leaving homelessness behind and achieving success as they define it. The first obstacle is immediately having a home that meets their needs and has a physical address upon entry into our program. The second is the mobility and possibly even the training to take a skills-based job of their choosing anywhere in the country. Our program tackles both problems with a single solution by working hand-in-hand with the program participant by designing and building a "tinyhome" inside a retired ambulance.

According to the 2024 Homelessness Point in Time PIT Count 32882 veterans were experiencing homelessness with 13851 being unsheltered. These counts are a snapshot conducted each January and only capture a portion of the situation. The 2024 count does display a 7.
