The most common reaction I’m seeing to the latest terrorist attack today against Jews in Colorado is the call for Jews to be armed. And I agree — we should be armed. All of us. But we need to face a deeper truth: these attacks are escalating, and there will be situations where even being armed won’t be enough to stop the violence in time. What we’re dealing with in this country is a growing cancer. And it’s spreading. More Jews will be injured, more will be killed. But make no mistake, this won’t stop with the Jewish community. As much as some may try to take comfort in that illusion, this threat goes far beyond us. This is the result of a toxic convergence: the radical elements of Islam, the Marxist indoctrination entrenched in our universities, and a “woke” Right that completes the circle. Together, they’ve created a dangerous reality that’s unraveling our sense of safety and stability. I don’t know how or even if this will resolve in a way that allows us to feel truly safe in America again. But I do know this: things will get worse. And soon, no one will feel safe anywhere. (fb)
