For one night only each year, Salk's landmark campus is transformed into a unique outdoor concert venue. Symphony at Salk is a night that intersects world-class music, fine dining, science, and philanthropy. The concert takes place right on Salk's campus, between Salk's internationally recognized architecture and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. At its core, this event is a fundraising opportunity to support Salk’s scientists. At Salk, we're dedicated to bringing in new talent and training the next generation of STEM researchers through hands-on experience, mentorship, and outreach. Last week, we hosted the second annual Rising Stars Symposium, welcoming 12 outstanding postdoctoral researchers. They presented their novel research, were paired with Salk faculty, and learned more about the Salk Institute. The speakers represented disciplines across biology, including neuroscience, plant biology, systems biology, and cancer. It was an honor to welcome these incredible individuals to our campus.
