The Taste of History 2025 is Fri, June 13 9am-5pm & Sat June 14 9am-6pm and is free to attend at Sandstone Village, 763 Milan Avenue, Amherst, Ohio 44001! Free parking and shuttle at Amherst Junior High, 548 Milan Ave, Amherst, Ohio 44001! The eras so far are The Hundred Years’ War, Revolutionary War, Civil War, Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Global War on Terror! In addition, there are 14 Field Kitchens as of now, including a Field Kitchen that the Ohio Army National Guard is bringing. And 8 vendors are coming at this time! Registration is still open! Free reenactor and field kitchen registration and $50 vendor registration is at https://www.mhpg.us/tasteofhistory Join us at a unique free public display timeline event focused on the food and rations that fed soldiers through the years! All eras are welcome, friend and foe, including military, home front, and camp followers. Field kitchens will compete and offer samples of period meals for a donation to attendees. There are static displays, shooting demonstrations, military surplus vendors, kids’ activities and more. Over 3,500 people attended in 2024 and this year is expected to be even bigger!
