The Institute on National Social Inequities and Gaps in Health and Health Treatment (INSIGHT) enhances understanding of the relationship between the social and physical environmental determinants of health. It translates that knowledge to research that promotes health equity and social safety net access. INSIGHT maintains an effective partnership with clergy, community leaders, and residents in underserved communities.. INSIGHT identifies problems affecting the health and well-being of Black and Latinx communities as well as analyze and evaluate interventions that could offer evidence-based best practices. To do this, we use as a foundation, the strategy of Community-based Participatory Research.
