REGIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PROMOTIONAL PROGRAMS ARE DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, RADIO AND TELEVISION, TRADE SHOWS, DIGITAL MARKETING AND OTHER METHODS TO ENCOURAGE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM IN THE NORTH COUNTRY. THE CHAMBER PROVIDES ITS MEMBERS WITH ACCESS TO BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICES SUCH AS REFERRALS, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, INSURANCE AND COUNSELORS. THE CHAMBER ALSO ADVOCATES FOR QUEBEC-NEW YORK CROSS-BORDER COMMERCE RELATIONS AND INVESTMENT IN THE NORTH COUNTRY.

The North Country Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to host the Next Move NY team for a roundtable conversation with local employers and workforce development organizations. Next Move NY is a bold new initiative being administered by the Development Authority of the North Country (DANC) to grow Upstate New York's workforce by assisting service-members, veterans, and their families with transitioning to civilian employment. The Next Move NY team provided an overview of the initiative, including progress made thus far, and was able to learn from those in attendance about employment needs and other critical information that will help shape the initiative.
