MISSION STATEMENT Dominicans Love Haitians Movement uses various art modalities as a cultural tool to unlearn racism, practice decolonization, and heal from Eurocentrism. As an arts-based non-profit, our goal is to restore the rights OF ALL PEOPLE, HAITIAN AND DOMINICAN, to live in an inclusive environment free from harmful negative narratives, perceptions, and propaganda that negates our commonalities and humanity through antiblackness, anti-Haitianism, and xenophobia. Our purpose is to give rise to ways to counteract these divisive ways of thinking with art as the tool towards a pathway for community healing, enabling us to envision and create a new future.

Its fourday programming in October 2024 promotes cultural diversity through various art genres including dramatic documentary experimental short films and panel discussions. Founded by Dominicans Love Haitians Movement Nou Akoma Nou Sinrji Transnational Film Festival is a fourday festival celebrating a transnational experience one that extends beyond the borders of these two nations and encompasses the experiences of the Haitian and Dominican Diaspora globally.
