South Fork Bakery for the Special Needs Corp
South Fork Bakery is a not for profit wholesale bakery in Eastern Long Island. Our mission is to provide meaningful paid employment to residents in our local community with ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorders, Autism and Developmental Disabilities. South Fork Bakery supports and celebrates each person’s talents. It currently employs 12 adults with special needs who do it all- prepare the batters, bake, package, label, find customers, distribute to customers, sell at farmers’ markets. Under the supervision of Shirley, a group of dedicated volunteers and a professional baker, South Fork Bakery employees create an array of delicious cookies and bars that are sold in over 40 stores/cafes and farmers markets on the eastern end of Long Island.
