🌟 Staff Spotlight: Sara 🌟 This month, we’re excited to highlight Sara, one of our amazing Advocate Managers, who joined CASA of McHenry County in August 2024! ✨ Why Sara Works for CASA: “As a caseworker, I saw the amazing work CASAs are able to do for youth in care, and after moving to Illinois, I knew I wanted to be part of that.” 💼 Favorite Part of the Job: “The Advocates! I have a stunning group of Advocates who I am so grateful for. They show up for our CASA kids with unmatched passion and dedication, and I love hearing about the special bonds they build.” 🎉 Fun Facts About Sara: Loves spending time with her husband, two daughters, cats, and dog. Enjoys reading, geocaching, museum-hopping, hiking, and is starting to section hike the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin! Big fan of family movie nights—especially Lord of the Rings at Christmas and Harry Potter with her 11-year-old. Loves everything from mystery novels (James Patterson) to rom-coms (Abby Jimenez)—and it’s on her bucket list to visit Abby’s bakery in Minneapolis! She’s lived in Colorado, Texas, Washington, Georgia, and her favorite place: Alaska.
