THE SHERRI GILKERSON MEMORIAL FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) HAS GROWN OUT OF AN ORIGINAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND MEMORIAL HORSE SHOW ESTABLISHED IN 2007. SUPPORTERS FROM ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA WERE DEDICATED TO MEMORIALIZING THE GREAT HORSEMAN, (SEE SCHEDULE O) TEACHER, AND BELOVED SOUL THAT WAS SHERRI LEA HAMMOND GILKERSON. HER MEMORY LIVES ON THROUGH THE ENRICHMENT OF YOUNG LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION AND SPORT. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ARE STUDENTS OF EQUINE MANAGEMENT, AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS, VETERINARY, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE AND COMMUNICATIONS TO NAME A FEW MAJORS.
