Washington Ethnic Studies Now Consulting
Ethnic Studies in every class in WA taught by anti-racists committed to centering the history and lived experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of Color. To bring Ethnic Studies to K-12 classrooms in Washington State by: 1) Centering the voices of people of Color with a focus on youth and critical educators of Color 2) Continually learning, teaching, and developing strategies to implement K-12 Ethnic Studies programs in all Washington State public school districts and independent schools 3) Providing anti-racist and Ethnic Studies professional development for K-12 educators and students 4) Cultivating connections with community organizations with shared anti-racist education missions 5) Building systemic power through advocacy 6) Creating a community of activists to learn from and with each other 7) Protecting the integrity of Ethnic Studies
