Home About Us Our Board Contact Us Maryland Horse Council Foundation About MHC Foundation The Maryland Horse Council is a registered 501c3 that was formed to support and enhance the lives of horses in Maryland. In 2017 the Maryland Horse Council developed the concept for the Maryland Equine Transition Service METS which helps find new homes for horses in need of transition. In 2018 the Arnall Family FoundationThe Right Horse Initiative awarded MHC a threeyear grant to get the program off the ground and METS became the first program of its kind to be taken on by a statewide horse council. In 2019 MHC created the MHC Foundation MHCF to house the METS program and other charitable initiatives.
