Joint Forces Dance Co.’s mission is to create inclusive, expressive communities through dance and movement that honors and celebrates all people. Our vision is that all bodies speak, and communities need everybody’s expressions to be whole. When everybody communicates with each other through movement and dance, and nobody is isolated, a web of connection gets woven which dissolves separations. Our goal is to promote the DanceAbility Method of mixed-abilities dance, and to foster communities based on respect, equality, and dignity. The DanceAbility Method connects all participants, with any combination of abilities and disabilities; focuses on what people in the group are all able to do, and what they share in common; and ensures that all people present can always participate.
