THE EVOLUER HOUSE
21 Years of Guiding Urban Girls to Bold and Bright Futures Evoluer House was founded in 2004 in response to accelerated youth violence in our communities and structural harms and systemic barriers girls of color face in the U.S. Our work is urgent and critical and our mission is straightforward: we uplift and change the trajectory for girls of color in the Philadelphia region between the ages of 13 and 18, who are experiencing social and emotional challenges and racial oppression in their lives and through teaching, programming and exchanges with other girls and women of color, enable them to value themselves, realize their power, value their self-worth, break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and make changes in their lives to thrive and take the leap and lead.
