Our productions are place-based, artist-centered, and audience-connected. As a starting point, we borrow Shakespeare and Company’s definition of the classics: The highest truths, universally told, with healing powers. We believe that rural artists should have the opportunity to do their best work in their own communities, and that rural audiences deserve excellent theater. We also believe that accessibility is vital to the art, and it includes disability, financial, caregiver, educational, and geographic access.
