Center for Disability Rights | Removal of Barriers, Inclusion of People

Operated and administered by persons with disabilities who live in the communities we serve, the same individuals who receive and benefit from the programs decide which programs CDR will provide and how they will be administered. To promote options that empower people with disabilities to achieve their full potential and live independently, fully participate in their community, and exercise their rights as citizens. It shall challenge, through advocacy, education and citizen action, those systems that limit such options.

Center for Disability Rights Removal of Barriers Inclusion of People Welcome CDR is a membership organization of persons with disabilities that operates a Center for Independent Living CIL. Based in West Haven Connecticut the Center for Disability Rights advocates for people with disabilities and their issues on a local statewide and national level. We also provide services to individuals and their families as well as technical assistance and community education to businesses government and members of the community. CDR fully serves the following towns West Haven Milford Orange Woodbridge Madison Clinton and Westbrook.
