SOCIETY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF CARTER RAILROAD RESOURCES
Our mission is to preserve, restore, and interpret early wooden narrow gauge railroad cars built beginning in 1874 by a small car builder named Carter Bros. Our collection now includes 21 cars built by small builders in Northern California. Our current-day operation consists of three passenger cars pulled by our diesel Plymouth locomotive "Katie." We operate The Railroad Museum at Ardenwood in Fremont, California in partnership with the East Bay Regional Park District. For days and hours of operation, please go to Ardenwood Historic Farm's website: http://ebrpd.org/parks/ardenwood. For more information on SPCRR and The Railroad Museum at Ardenwood, go to our website: http://www.spcrr.org, or Facebook.com/spcrrMuseum. SPCRR is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
