Metropolitan College of New York honors the life of Congressman Charles B. Rangel, an American hero, founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus and a towering pillar of Harlem, USA. A decorated veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, Congressman Rangel brought to public service the same courage and conviction he demonstrated on the battlefield. For more than four decades in Congress, he was a committed champion for social justice, civil rights, and equity, always standing up for those whose voices were too often unheard. He helped define a generation of Black political leadership and shaped a national movement rooted in purpose. Our condolences to the Rangel Family. Rest in peace, Congressman.
