Preserve the past and remember the glory years of the Prairie View Interscholastic League, which existed from 1920 to 1970, and instill personal pride and self-esteem by increasing the cultural awareness of the PVIL heritage. Identify former PVIL coaches inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor. Develop a museum to house the PVIL memorabilia.

Prairie View Interscholastic League Coaches Association Remembering the Past With Pride Welcome. This site celebrates the Prairie View Interscholastic League which existed from 1920 to 1970. The PVIL was the governing body for academic athletic and music competitions for black high schools in Texas during the states segregationist era. In its 50year existence the PVIL produced numerous outstanding coaches athletes students and citizens.
