Arts 2 People
Arts2People works with organizations that serve the needy in the Western North Carolina region. We offer workshops on-site to organizations serving victims of domestic violence, the homeless, youth, mentally retarded, physically handicapped, & the homeless. These organizations have no funding for the arts, though their clients can greatly benefit from the experience of creative self-expression. The arts have been shown in numerous studies to prevent & decrease destructive behaviors & to build self-esteem. We believe that by offering individuals the opportunity to experience the healing power of the Expressive Arts we are helping them to become more positive & active members of society.
