Our mission is to amplify the rights of endangered megafauna and protect them from poaching, cruelty, and extinction by working closely with communities neighboring Earth's last wild places. GMFER’s indigenous voices represent the future for elephants and rhinos; too often, these voices have poor access to resources needed by GMFER’s mission. Compounding the problem are unique ethno-geographic challenges inherent in postcolonial communities defending the rights of vulnerable animals. Recognizing these complexities in community-led animal advocacy refines GMFER’s vision: a vision built on human communities that see non-human communities deserving of justice.
