THE PURPOSE OR PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED ARE TO ADVANCE THE KNOWLEDGE AND TO IMPROVE THE PRACTICE OF BUILDING AND MAINTAINING THE TOWN HIGHWAYS OF THE 25 TOWNS OF WESTCHESTER AND PUTNAM COUNTIES, NEW YORK; TO AID THE PROGRESS OF THE OFFICE OF TOWN SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS AND SUPERINTENDENTS OF HIGHWAYS GENERALLY; AND, WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, TO ADVANCE THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF BUILDING AND MAINTAINING TOWN HIGHWAYS; TO ENHANCE THE STATUS OF TOWN SUPERINTENDENTS OF HIGHWAYS; TO INCREASE THE USEFULNESS OF ORGANIZED SOCIETIES OF SUCH SUPERINTENDENTS, AND IN FUTHERANCE OF SUCH ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO ENCOURAGE RESEARCH, EDUCATION, THE PREPARATION OF PAPERS, DOCUMENTS, AND REPORTS ON SUBJECTS RELEVANT TO SUCH PURPOSES; TO DEVELOP STANDARDS, CODES, AND RECOMMENDED PRACTICES; TO ENDEAVOR TO MAINTAIN HIGH TECHNICAL AND CULTURAL STANDARDS OF ETHICAL PRACTICE BY MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION; TO FOSTER THE STUDY OF THE SUPERINTENDENCY OF HIGHWAYS AND EN

Home NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS On December 7 2023 the following were sworn in as 2024 Association Officers at the annual Christmas Luncheon Left to Right Michael G. OConnor Secretary Town of Ossining Retired Craig Useted Treasurer Town of North Castle Retired Nick DeVito President Town of Somers Michael Burdick Town of Southeast Putnam County Vice President Rocco Latella Town of Eastchester Westchester County Vice President James Maxwell Town of Mount Pleasant Retired administered the Oath of Office. At the annual 2023 Christmas Luncheon held on December 7 2023 at Casa Rina in Thornwood Association President Ward Hanaburgh Town of North Salem presented retiring Highway Superintendents Michael Simone left Town of Carmel and Peter Ripperger right Town of Lewisboro with commemorative plaques for their years of service to our Association and the residents of their respective municipalities.
