Dementia Innovations’ mission is to embrace those living with dementia. We are designing and building the first of its kind in the United States, dementia village, LIVASU. To embrace those living with dementia through a dignity of risk lifestyle, education, and community collaboration. To develop a neighborhood for individuals with dementia and their caregivers, intentionally designed to adapt to their unique physical, social, and emotional needs, where: …a person with dementia and their family can define and realize their own quality of life, living in a home they own. …respite support for caregivers is integrated. …the supporting community is trained in “Dignity of Risk” lifestyle. ...a person with dementia can live barrier free and continue to experience nature and community amenities with less danger and anxiety.
