Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Arkansas Welcome to the website of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Arkansas Greetings traveler September 16th 1620 an overcrowded and poorly provisioned ship carried 101 people on a 65 day passage to America. The Mayflower dropped anchor on December 26th 1620 as the weary passengers gradually came ashore they started building what would become the Plymouth Colony. Through genealogy we all have found our way back to each other and by understanding and preserving our rich heritage we will ensure their memory lives on. I would like to welcome you to the Arkansas chapter of our Mayflower society.
