The mission of the FWW is to enhance stewardship of our shared water resources by encouraging informed decisions about the use of land and water. The FWW educates citizens about Philadelphia's urban watershed - its past, present and future - and collaborates with partners to instill an appreciation for the connections between daily life and the natural environment. The Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center (FWWIC) is an urban watershed environmental center - a living laboratory for water-based research and public education. The FWWIC integrates art, science, and technology to promote environmental awareness to diverse audiences.
