Hoopoe Books - from thinking children come thinking adults. Publishes and distributes a selection of illustrated children's books to develop thinking skills and perception in children worldwide. The mission of the Hoopoe Share Literacy Fund (HSLF) is to publish books that not only entertain children and young adults, but also help them to understand themselves and their world and to develop higher-level thinking skills. Our books include beautifully illustrated retellings of universal teaching-stories collected from Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Middle East and presented in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, French and German as well as in the regions’ mother tongues.

Welcome to Hoopoe Books Hoopoe Books is a global initiative that produces and distributes teaching stories as part of an ongoing commitment to social and emotional learning in the worlds children. We print locally in order to supply beautifully illustrated storybooks in all major languages to children and their families. Our books hitch a ride with camel libraries in Pakistan they are passed from hand to hand in remote villages of Afghanistan.
