THE ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE WELFARE OF THE GAME OF GOLF; THE SCIENCE AND ART OF GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT; THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND BUSINESS EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROFESSION; AND THE PROFESSIONAL IMAGE AND WELL-BEING OF ITS INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS THROUGH THE TIMELY AND EFFICIENT USE OF PRESENT DAY EDUCATIONAL, COMMUNICATIONS AND MANAGEMENT MEANS.
