Meet Kennedy Obilloh, our 2025 Student Chaplain, whose journey from Kenya to ITS is fueled by a deep passion for sharing the Gospel in rural and underserved communities. He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Missions and Evangelism while actively serving fellow students and participating in the Mentored Ministry program, an internship program designed for ITS students to integrate their theological education with practical field experience. Kennedy serves at Trinity Full Gospel Church in San Bernardino, where he preaches, mentors youth, and leads outreach initiatives. Kennedy reflects, "One of the most significant areas of growth has been in homiletics; through regular preaching opportunities, I've received constructive feedback that has helped me communicate Scripture more effectively. Engaging with the congregation in real-life ministry settings has taught me the importance of adaptability, compassion, and cross-cultural sensitivity in pastoral work." After graduation, Kennedy hopes to return to Kenya to train pastors, missionaries, and gospel workers, particularly in the rural areas where the Gospel has yet to take deep root. He expresses his interest in farming as missions as a unique approach to engage rural communities, address food insecurity, and create opportunities to share Christ in tangible ways. We thank God for students like Kennedy and for the faithful support of those who uphold ITS in prayer. Please continue to pray for Kennedy, his family, and the people of Kenya.
