Our mission is to save the lives of sarcoma and pediatric cancer patients and to inspire hope and lend support to the families and patients with cancer To save the lives of cancer patients through research and advocacy and to honor the life of Catherine Malatesta. The mission of the Catherine J. Malatesta Foundation is to save the lives of cancer patients, with an emphasis on children, and to inspire hope and lend support to the families and patients caring for, living with and surviving cancer. This will be accomplished by funding scientific research, raising awareness through fundraising events and providing grants to organizations dedicated to early detection, finding a cure, and optimizing the patient care and family experience during and after their cancer journey.

The 2025 5KforCat raised $15,125 and counting. THANK YOU for hitting the pavement in such a grand fashion to mark the 10th anniversary of Cat’s death. Doing so much good for adolescent and young adult sarcoma patients in Cat’s memory is such a deeply meaningful way to face such a tragedy.
