A Minimum Viable Service rail plan can meet the needs of the Austin-San Antonio corridor more economically, is safer than driving and accessible to non-drivers, does not experience traffic jams, and is better for the environment. SART supports a MVSP for Lone Star Rail. (tw)
I-35 between Austin and San Antonio is the most heavily used highway in Texas, six times more than the next busiest road. It cannot be further expanded at ground level, and recent elevated expansions have cost hundreds of millions of dollars. (tw)
