New class alert! In partnership with the Morris Hospital YMCA, we have launched a new community exercise class called PWR! Moves, designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. This free class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-1:50 p.m. at the Morris Hospital YMCA, at 2200 W. Dupont Ave. in Morris. Led by certified instructors, PWR! Moves is a research-based program focused on improving mobility, strength, and everyday function through intentional movement. Physician clearance is required to participate. To register for PWR! For the first time ever, our Rhythm of Our Youth cardiac screenings are open to the public! We are conducting a special screening event on Saturday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Morris Hospital YMCA, located at 2200 W. Dupont Ave. in Morris. High school students entering grades 9 through 12 for the 2025–26 school year, along with 2025 graduates, are eligible for this free screening. The goal is to identify abnormality that could result in sudden cardiac death. Thanks to the support of generous donors to the Morris Hospital Foundation, over 14,000 students have already been screened through this life-saving program.
