MISSION AND PURPOSE The Qalanjo Project is a Somali cultural organization and creative arts studio. We work to celebrate and preserve Somali cultural practices by documenting the stories of our community. Our mission is to cultivate a deeper and richer understanding of Somali culture particularly as it thrives in Minnesota by empowering our community to explore capture and share their narratives. Through culturally relevant programming collaborative spaces and initiatives honoring our shared history we deepen connections within the Somali community and celebrate our collective identity.
