Here are a few highlights from the event: ✨ Former Governor Mike Leavitt reminded us that Utah’s quality of life today was built on the legacy of the 2002 Olympics—and 2034 is our next big chance to lead with vision. ✨ Brad Wilson, CEO of Salt Lake City-Utah 2034 Olympics, emphasized that these Games are a once-in-a-generation opportunity to tackle big challenges for Utah like water, energy, air quality, and statewide equity. Communities can become involved in a number of ways from showing up to stops on their listening tour or becoming one of the 25,000 volunteers that will be needed in 2034. ✨ Natalie Gochnour from the Kem C. Gardner Institute facilitated this powerful conversation on how the Olympics can be a catalyst for thoughtful, strategic growth across all 29 counties. ✨ We heard moving reflections on what made 2002 unforgettable—and bold calls to ensure 2034 leaves an even greater impact. ✨ Envision Utah’s own Jason Brown and Laura Hanson reminded us that these moments require all of us.
