Executive Director: Terry Creech BreatheINK's purpose is to show pre-teens and teenagers how to use poetry as a means of increasing literacy skills, improving scholastic performances and test scores, and addressing issues of social and emotional behavior through therapeutic use of growing writing skills and sharing their poems and stories in a public performance format.

BreatheINK Creating Space for Teen Voices North Carolinas Home for Youth Poetry. About Us Our Mission Statement BreatheINK seeks to create cultural and educational equity for underserved youth through poetic arts programming. BREATHEINKx27S IMPACT ON STUDENTS 18 60 18 60 18 60 BreatheINK Teaching Artists facilitated over 60 poetry and creative writing workshops in 18 schools during the 2023 Spring Semester. Charter public private and juvenile detention schools hosted our workshops.
