The Objectives and Purposes of the Friends are to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries, to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and the needs of the Metropolitan Library System, and to stimulate gifts of materials to the Metropolitan Library System including books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, grant bequests, and other support as prescribed by the association.

It is the mission of the Friends to raise funds and awareness for the Metropolitan Library System support its mission augment its ability to enhance services and programs and to promote literacy within our community. Booksale Donate Materials Membership Volunteer Established in 1986 by the Friends of the Metropolitan Library System the Trust provides a way for people to donate to the library and to create funds that could help meet future library needs. It is the mission of the Trust to grow the endowment to enhance our libraries.
