Children's Advocacy Center for Child Abuse Assessment and Treatment
A new and less traumatic way of serving abused children. The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center is to provide forensic interviewing and family advocacy services to children who are victims of physical or sexual abuse or who have witnessed acts of violence. Our services are provided to children aged 3-17, and adults with developmental disabilities. All services are provided in a supportive environment by individuals trained in national best practices. We work with law enforcement, child protection services, medical personnel, mental health providers and district attorneys to ensure that any response to an allegation of child abuse is coordinated among these agencies, while ensuring the needs and well-being of the child victim remains at the forefront of all investigations to optimize case outcomes and minimize victim trauma.
