L I G H T Foundation
We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, whose intent is to support native plant conservation and restoration. The Foundation is an independent, Indigenous-led, charitable entity organized exclusively for educational, conservation, literary, and research purposes established in 2022. It supports the restoration and cultivation of native Plant and Pollinator Relatives and the culturally respectful conservation of habitats and ecosystems which are climate resilient and adaptive. Specifically, LF was formed with a three-pronged mission to: Cultivate positive relationships between Indigenous Peoples and landowners in order to have shared outcomes in ecological stewardship, habitat conservation, and climate adaptation. Enrich communities by providing hands-on tools and support for teaching gathering traditions and honoring native plants and pollinators in culturally appropriate ways.
